2 large Japanese sweet potatoes
2 teaspoons salt
2 Tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 cup butter melted
Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a baking sheets with butter.
Chop Japanese sweet potatoes into thick fries and put in a large bowl.
Pour ¼ cup melted butter over fries to coat, and add salt and garlic powder. Mix with hands to make sure the seasonings and butter evenly coat the fries.
Lay fries on baking sheet, paying special attention to not let them touch each other – this is crucial in getting them crispy.
Place baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and flip all of the fries over – they should be nice and brown on one side. Stick back in the oven and cook for an additional 8-15 minutes, until browned.
Salt to taste and serve.
